Top 5 Oasis Songs?

They were discussing this on TalkSPORT Drive.

So hard, but mine is:

1) Cigarettes & Alcohol
2) Slide Away
3) Rock ‘N’ Roll Star
4) Don’t Look Back In Anger
5) Some Might Say

With honourable mentions to Supersonic, Wonderwall, Champagne Supernova and Morning Glory.

My top three are shoe-ins, I really struggled with four and five.

Not an oasis fan, wonderwall grates on me, along with Don’t look back in anger, two of the most overexposed songs ever
----------------------------------------------------------------------

There's a beautiful simplicity to Wonderwall. I facking hate "Don't look back in anger" though and that reetarded "anthemic" chorus.

I was 17 when I got What's the Story, which I think is pretty much the perfect age.

Hearing 'Don't Look Back in Anger' - which I think I must have already heard a couple of times before in a mate's car - blaring out in my own bedroom on Christmas Day '95 is something I'll never forget

As for Wonderwall, it just seemed to be on *everywhere* around that time - and that was no bad thing for me.

Well then you’re weird

As Jalisco said, and it was the same for me, the music you’re into when you’re coming of age is usually what sticks with you .

Obvs you discover other bands if you want to know what inspired your favourites...

Not really a big fan of Oasis (sonically interesting, but I can't stand the corny/cringey lyrics), but I had an Oasis phase in my teens. My top 5 is:
1) Supersonic
2) Wonderwall
3) Masterplan
4) Whatever
5) Shakermaker
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Your hatred of the lyrics is so strong that you’ve stuck to one-word titles.

have to say, if Definitely Maybe was released today it would sell bucket loads.

Could the same be said for:
Blur with Leisure or Modern Life Is Rubbish and Parklife

Prefer Different Class and His and Hers from Pulp over the three Blur ones listed. But that’s just peoples different music taste.
