No fans at EFL games till 2021

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52493649

This would be the same for Prem I imagine.

Clubs are going to have to refund this season , refund half of next season, indeed it could well end up whole of next season has no fans, and whole Sts have to be refunded.

Cannot see how clubs outside Prem shrive with no gate receipts just tv money and much reduced sponsorships.

Wages MUST come down

Transfer fees MUST come down.

Clubs have to cut their costs now.

Watching football without fans would be simply an awful watch, I don`t think I would watch it to be honest

About the first thing you've said in the past 3 weeks that I wholeheartedly agree with. I'll return to watching football when I can sit in my seat and not before. Sure many won't mind watching football under these conditions as a large percentage probably never bother going to games as it is, but it's just not football without fans.

Will mean I can spend a lot more weekend time with the family for a good length of time, so I'm not too disheartened with it. It'll return at some point, and so will I.

It isn't ideal, but it is what it is. I just don't get this mentality at all. Everyone has to adapt to all things aross all walks of life that are completely different and on the most part, nowhere near as good. With football, as long as it is safe to do so, it resuming is a positive.

I aren't disagreeing with you. If that's your viewpoint then I respect it completely, I just happen to feel differently about it. Given the choice between a hideously diluted product or spending some weekend time with my kids, I'll be opting for the latter.

Do you watch football on TV? I get it if you only watch football live.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nowhere near as much as I used to do back in the day. I can still get excited for a Manchester derby or a Liverpool v Man Utd game, those kind of games, but I reckon I've seen maybe a half a dozen PL games this season if that. VAR has pretty much killed off the last bit of interest I had in top flight football. Enjoy European games still (particularly enjoyed watching Wolves' Europa League campaign) and will always love watching England, but I much prefer the buzz of going to games, always have.

I come from a big Leeds supporting family (I'm the black sheep) and even my brother who is Leeds mad is the same as me in that he just has no interest at all in BCD. He wants Leeds to still go up naturally as it's where that club needs to be, but he won't watch any games until it returns to normal and he's one of those nutters who'll travel the entire length of the country for an awayday without a ticket in the hope of getting one outside the ground. Horses for courses I suppose.
