Premier League is destroying itself!

Now don’t get me wrong that am somehow jealous of Newcastle United becoming another big purchasers and hence relegating any hopes of the likes of Arsenal ever winning the league but with the help of greedy Premier League we are about to watch another inflated league where nothing will make sense.

Rumours going around is that Newcastle potential new owners from Saudi Arabia have agreed with Koulibaly to be their first signing among many and are willing to break the bank to achieve success.

Now how can they be sure that they are buying Newcastle without fit for purpose test required to own PL teams. Let me highlight the test of character required (it is the fit-and-proper-person test or director's test is a test aiming to prevent corrupt or untrustworthy people from serving on the board of certain organizations).

The Saudi playboy King isn’t your normal Johnny of the block he is actually accused of incidentally by proxies maiming and decomposing someone (a decent human journo) in a foreign embassy and that my friends disqualifies anyone from ever getting a day job ever. However, it seems like mafias are running our league with the authorities blindly taking bribes even if its blood money something very wrong with this league.

Unless a structural change is employed in our league to limit the amount of money rich individuals can throw or inflate the league, every club will suffer and its not a surprise that Man City have continued to breach the so called financial fair play rules.

Doesn’t matter what you’ve done in life, as long as you have enough money, and you grease enough palms, you more often than not get your way

Being accused of something automatically means you cannot own a football club?

If it wasn't for their oil wealth Saudi Arabia would have been ostracised by the Western World more than 40 years ago for their strict and often inhumane regimes and practises. With their human rights record how can they be considered to be "fit for purpose?" Because of their extremism the Saudis give the rest of the Muslim world a bad name and should in no way be taken as an examplebof Muslim behaviour.

With corona effecting so many teams finances the timing of them buying Newcastle couldn't me worse for those competing for top 6.

They could be one of the few teams with immense amounts to spend and cherry pick lots of top players, at under market value. Noting ffp that is a big deal in my view.

They could close a big gap much faster than usual. Toon has immense support so they deserve it but the owners morals make Mike ashley seem like jesus christ 😅

No, we should use Pakistan as an example.

Agreed. Pakistan has an appalling record too dut I believe their death penalty by hanging only applies to those convicted of the sexual abuse or murder of children. I would volunteer to be the Hangman.

Pakistan is one of the few working democracies so no need to change that despite some horrible practices unlike authoritarian Kingdoms in Middle East.

FFP is suspended for next season.

Excellent timing by the Saudis.

The reality is that the Saudi takeover will provide serious market liquidity. That couple hundred million they will spend will go a long way in these times.

It will be allowed for that reason alone.

You're livid about the wrong thing here OP. The PL is a billionaire's game now and has been for years. Not going to change unless the LAW forces it to. Just have to feel sorry for the little guys. Then remember, that's NOT us!

Your anger needs to be focused at OUR billionaire owner/s who don't like spending money! The lifting of FFP next season means that if AFC aren't competing next season, the reason will be Stan refusing to put the money in. Not another billionaire joining the PL playground.

In fact, another billionaire arriving, could well force Stan's hand here. We'll surely lose value if we don't get back in the mix fast. Another team fast tracking into the top spots means, he now HAS to put his money in or cashout to a Saudi himself now too. The "Scrape to Europe on the bare minimum spend" days, are well and truly over. If that's all he ever wanted to do, he might just sell this high value asset and "Git while the gittins goood." But if not, he has to put money in, that high value, will start dropping rapidly if he doesn't.
