37 years ago Alex Ferguson led a scrappy team of Scots to a European Cup Winners Cup Final victory over the mighty Real Madrid prompting Real's manager Alfredo Di Stefano to remark "Aberdeen have what money can't buy - a soul, a team spirit built in a family tradition."

What a team, what an occasion, never see the like again unfortunately

Neil Lennon started his footballing career as a striker. Anyone who seen him for Celtic would remember he couldn't hit a barn door when shooting but his record at youth level was tremendous. Amazing what a good manager can see when you make the step up
