3 Highlights

What 3 moments stand out for you in YOUR lifetime watching your club that the memories will stick with you forever?

I'm far too young for the Lisbon Lions and barely recall the 88 Centenary season.

1. Most of my childhood was watching Rangers do 9IAR. The season we stopped the 10 was exceptional but that last day title win is my first stand out memory. Listening to it on the radio then celebrating in town that night.

2. The next few years after that weren't great but the 6-2 game for me was telling. Under MON and that result I felt that the tide had turned and we were no longer underdogs permanently. Yes we lost the next OF game 5-1 but you just felt as a Celtic fan that day things were going to be different. I lived up north at that point and celebrated like mad that night.

3. Seville. Odd to put a losing game on and indeed a season where we lost everything on goal difference or in extra time but the journey to Seville was phenomenal from beating Liverpool and Boavista to taking Porto to extra time. The whole build up to the game was memorable. The ending was not as I'd have hoped but the final was something I'll not forget in a long long time.

Other special mentions
5-1 under Rodgers v Rangers when we wre told Rangers were back and we went on to dominate that season.
Treble Treble final. Not a great match but at that match I said that was my generations Lisbon Lions moment. I am not for one minute comparing it but it was unprecedented and to be there was simply amazing.

What are yours?

To be honest the title this season would have topped it for me obviously in a pre Covid world

If the season is called as it is for you guys, the title is well deserved but such a shame it will not be able to be celebrated properly.

For me it has to be games I was at, so:
1. Alan Stubbs equalising late on in the pre-christmas derby in 1997 - had he not the 10 was a cert.
2. Boruc penalty save against Utd in CL - thought the South Stand was coming down that night
3. Seville - fantastic experience

1 - Invincible treble

2 - Seville

3 - MON's first season.

Barcelona win and the 5-1 at Ibrox were close for 3rd place.

1. 1987 Skol cup final against Aberdeen. My first cup final - wasnt supposed to be going - old man surprised me with tickets after I had been away playing at footy tournament over the October week. Finished 3-3 Gers won on penalties - tremendous game.

2. Davie Cooper beating about 5 men and setting up Fleck against Ilves Tampere 1986 I think. Fookin loved Davie Cooper. He was one of the big reasons I became a Rangers fan - as well as the obvious parental influence. The sheer magic of Cooper in that moment makes it one of my fondest childhood footballing memories.

3. My son being a mascot at one of the Europa League games at Ibrox this season. Jammy wee basser will hopefully one day realise what a big deal it was.
