Does everybody feel comfortable

that on the 1st of June younger children will be asked to return to school, on the 12th June the Prem may return. So with thousands still dying from Coronavirus, children and football players will be asked to risk their safety.

Surely it is far, far too early for either of these to return. Why are our Government rushing things through, when there is a clearly a major problem still with the virus? Just over two weeks time is surely not the time to be sending young children back to school, and less than a month to be having a full on contact sport back in play.

I would suggest that when all 600 odd politicians are back in Parliament, that may be the time to perhaps get things finally moving again.

I really don`t get why we are constantly being told to stay two metres away from each other, but they are then saying a contact sport can resume, and young children can happily mingle with each other.

I suspect there will be a massive backlash from parents, refusing to send their children back to school, and plenty of footballers who will refuse to play.

On another note, Harry Kane was on TV this morning, and great that he is helping charities with his sponsering, he went on to say that all the team had been tested. I think there is something seriously wrong though when elite athletes are getting test priority over Key workers. Thousands of Care workers are still awaiting tests, putting their lives on the line, yet footballers are being routinely tested now. Pretty disgusting. Not the footballers faults, but the authorities have some serious questions to answer, to why footballers are taking preference on testing over the so many that really do need tests.

And football is played all over the world every week without any kind of crowd... is that not football? When a game is played behind closed doors, is that no longer a game of football. The facts are sandy, that for weeks you have jumped from one reason to the next why football wont be played. You are currently on crowds.

Still think the German league has no chance of starting? We're what, 5 hours from resumption....
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You still haven`t given me a reason why the Prem should be played without crowds? I don`t get it prior to March they were played with huge crowds, now you are saying they don`t need crowds? I don`t get it, are you saying they will never need crowds ever again.

For the last time, why is the Prem not going to have any crowds. I will say it for you.

BECAUSE IT IS DEEMED UNSAFE TO HAVE CROWDS WATCHING FOOTBALL MATCHES

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yep. You cannot social distance so there is no way crowds can be allowed. Fortunately players dont have to.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So crowds not allowed because of social distancing, but players can play without social distancing. Your all over the place with this mate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Am I?

If you can guarantee 40,000 people dont have C19 they can come in. You cant though, so they cannot.

You can guarantee that 22 players don't have C19. So they can play.

Clearer?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You cannot guarantee anything at all. A player may get tested one day, test negative, and pick it up the next day. Play in a game, give it it to other players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Nope. They're tested 12 hours before a game and in complete isolation from then on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Impossible for them to be in complete isolation, if they are staying in hotels, they will need feeding, so will be going to dining rooms etc, there will be other staff at the hotel, any of whom could infect them. There will be in close proximity to staff right up until kick off. It takes up to 300 to put on a game of football, so they are nowhere in isolation.

This is a funny discussion because nobody on here would know details like how long it takes for a person to become infectious after getting covid. Its not like you pick it up and start spreading it immediately.

By the time a player becomes infectious they will have tested positive and removed from the groip, even in Sandy's scenarios.

Also, who says players will be going to dining rooms? Or that hotel staff won't be tested as well? Players will not be in close proximity of untested persons right up until kick off

Why would they plan project restart only to have players mingling with untested persons right up until the game?

The protocols and regulations cover for feeding, cleaning and just about anything you can think of. Anything you can think of on JA606 must be pretty obvious to club doctors and therefore already factored in.

I'd imagine any footballer involved will probably be in the safest job possible given how much testing and monitoring they'll receive.

Truely distgusing, when even this evening I am seeing on TV, care workers and family members who have relatives in care homes pleading to be tested just once. Yet footballers are getting tested multiple times.

The idea that private persons must wait for the government to finish bungling up the whole thing is ridiculous IMO. Enough time has passed for private testing to occur and for that to not be morally repugnant.

Covid tests are being sold commercially. You can't tell people not to procure private tests because the govt has failed to do that, can you?

Something still seriously wrong that two months into the crisis, care workers still have not been tested, before footballers.

Yeah, they should have been tested continuously and any staff that tests positive to isolate for 14 days IMO. I think that's what they did in Germany.

Sigh. I feel that I've provided you with the blue print already of exactly how it work is and you ignore it.
Firstly, why do the players have to be anywhere near the 300 people in and around the stadium? They dont and won't. Secondly, they eat in isolation in their rooms with food that is prepared and delivered by staff from the club who have been tested. They travel in isolation to and from the hotels if they're playing away. Literally all the issues you raise have been answered. I feel like you'll just keep banging this same drum until it kicks off. I look forward to your change of rhetoric at that point.
