*Sansom.
Tragic story really. Doesn't seem to want to overcome his issues.

Yes, very sad. To be honest its not surprising he's in hospital, but I wish him all the best anyyay. As someone who has had my own issues with drink in the past I can sympathise with him.

It's hard to know how to help somebody in his situation just hope he recovers well and overcomes his demons somehow.

I always rated Samson just a pity he couldn't beat the drink.
I hear his broke now and has to borrow of mates all the time , hopefully he can pull through sort his life put and be remembered for the player he was and not the demons he clearly has.

Sad when it happens to anyone but unless you are famous there is usually no sympathy. You're just a drunken bum. In many cases people end up on the streets/penniless because they couldn't handle a personal situation very well. A divorce, not being able to see the kids, a failed business venture that was your dream for the future. That hope of a bit of luck through gambling to solve all the problems is always there but it usally ends up in drowning your sorrows with the last few quid you have left.

It is sad, and as much as he takes ultimate responsibility and only he can beat his own demons, mental health issues (of which this is one) are hard to conquer. And sadly, not everybody is able to do so. Hopefully he can 👍

He lives near me in in Kent so I've seen him a couple of times over the years. Both sound a bit sad when i think about them now. Saw him about 10 years ago in a pub in Bromley playing 2 fruit machines at the same time and again in a bookies in Bexley a couple of years ago. Both times he was alone.
