The good old days before social

distancing became the norm. When crowds were allowed into football grounds. I miss those days.

Enjoy

In this case I would be for fans to be back in the stadium even if it’s for midway through the season.

Football is for us, the fans the heartbeat of any and all clubs.
So I cannot agree that it should be continued behind closed when it’s safe for fans to go back into the stadiums.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So, you think ti's fair that you play Everton, United, City etc away with a full house and then the return fixture at Anfield being empty?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If that’s what will happen then that’s what will happen.
I would be sore at not being able to be in the ground as it’s an atmosphere the fans create and enjoy, but I’d totally understand it under the circumstances. So while you want to point at it being fair / not fair - it’s football, it’s not the first games that will be behind closed doors and won’t be the last.

I’d like to think Liverpool are good enough to win under any circumstances.

Well deserved.

Pretty glad we have such a massive lead that it makes that decision easy.
Which of course will then precipitate “call it as it is” which means Spurs won’t have european footy - and the stadium will hang like a massive millstone due to loss of Spurs earning potential.

Levy holding out on the naming rights for the stadium will end up costing them too.
Kane will leave

Best thing spurs could do is accept not being in Europe and breach FFP.

Desperation now.

Hi Sandy, behind closed doors footy - would you still continue to post on what you classed as something not worth bothering with and pointless?

Or would you become a JA606 version of “old man shouting at clouds”
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It's a football forum, so why wouldn't I post about football, whether behind closed doors or not. Your a strange fella that's for sure.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So basically you would be bothered and it wouldn’t be pointless..

Cheers Sandy. The sky is —> that way
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Did I in anyway say I would post about football being played in empty stadiums. Plenty of football topics to talks about without talking about footie behind closed doors.

“ why wouldn't I post about football, whether behind closed doors or not”

ie you would...

Give it up Sandy..

I honestly cba to pick at this. All il say is 1) it's usually a punishment for a team to play without fans and 2) you'd soon change your tune if you have played all tough games away and then it came down to a home game v Everton and City having United away with no fans at either game. Knowing the reverse fixture had fans. Easy to sit there saying you would accept it when you haven't had to consider it. It would be unfair and even if you did accept it it would still be unfair.

Not really, I’d rather have football than not.

Rather have fans in the stadiums than not.

Yep me too on both counts. Doesn't mean it wouldn't be unfair if we changed the criteria towards the end.

Brighton, who are definitely the most effected, would say it isn't fair. Whether fans want it or not, we need to be fair to each club.

We do often bemoan there being no atmosphere at many league games with fans...
