The positive covid-19 thread

Before I start this thread, I just want to pay homage to the poor souls that have lost their lives to this virus, RIP to all of you.

Honestly though , I’m fed up of all the bulls** doom and gloom mongers at the moment. If you want to moan about the football coming back and people looking forward to getting on with life again, then there’s other threads for this and by all means, stay at home for the rest of you’re lives.

Some of us feel we need to get the economy moving again and soon. What’s everyone looking forward to mostly when we ease slowly out of this? Obviously visiting family and friends is the biggest priority, but I also can’t wait to socialise with friends by the river for pub drinks/lunch. Travelling is also a passion of mine, so I can’t wait to get travelling again, not to mention my Wedding in Italy which was postponed in May to October, so still very hopeful this will go ahead now with the recent changes in Italy.

Got my honeymoon in Barbados near Xmas, so really hoping travel restrictions ease and I think they will. Looks like the country is going in the right direction with less deaths recorded once again. Last Tuesday the death rate was 600+. Today it’s just over 200. We are definitely heading in the right direction, what ever the defeatists say.

Like I said, this is a positive thread for people who are optimistic and looking forward to getting on with life and getting the economy rolling. Any negative rubbish, I’m deleting you sorry. There are other threads for this and I’m sick of the defeatist attitude by some.

I'm looking forward to being back in an Irish pub with a nice pint of Bulmers (Magners), Orchard Thieves or Appleman's though. Lovely ciders.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Drank Magners all the time circa 2005 but find it too sweet now

Quite like Rekordelig though
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That's strange, Rekorderlig is unbelievably sweet. Sweeter than Magners.

Yeah I'd agree with that. Passion fruit Rekorderlig is lovely though. Your username also reminded me of toffee apple Brothers cider, that's nice but in small quantities obviously!

Yeah I’m not keen on Guineas. I prefer a nice IPA

Do people drink at home ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I have not had a drink for two months now, I never drink at home, I just prefer pubs. I have lots of booze at home, but it is just for guests, and none are coming at the moment.

You were getting married in Italy? Is this the first you have brought this to everyone's attention?

Did you know, he was also unimpressed with Ndombele's efforts at tracking Neto's run vs Wolves. You may not have heard.
