Its the Simon Cowell generation. You don't see an actor of tv on a Saturday night unless he's a guest on a chat show.

I blame these shows, the people who make them and the people who watch them for most of the world's ills including covid.

It's Orwellian mind control by stealth leading to a dumb and compliant working class.

No it's not.

The first piece is factual. We went a full 5 years without any acting on either BBC 1 or ITV on a Saturday night between 18.30 and 22.30.

I'm of the opinion that the working classes are significantly dumbed down. Watching mindless drivel is no substitute for an attempt at education or development. That's also a fact.

The government of the day (charlatans regardless of party) are quite happy to keep the prolls down. Hence the lack of investment in education including the massive rise in university fees in England.

I'm making a reasonable analysis based on facts.

It's hardly flat earth stuff or moon landings.
