Who wants to be a Covidiot??

When the PL inevitably returns we will resume it’s predicted with the following fixtures

Aston Villa v Chelsea
Bournemouth v Crystal Palace
Brighton v Arsenal
Everton v Liverpool
Man City v Burnley
Newcastle v Sheff Utd
Norwich v Southampton
Tottenham v Man United
Watford v Leicester
West Ham v Wolves

One of the arguments for playing at neutral grounds was the fear of fans congregating outside the stadiums. If teams are allowed to play at their own grounds which set of fans from the fixtures above do you think will let themselves down?

The derby could be a potential but I’d hope with how badly we’ve been affected by Covid the locals will see sense.

Imo the government have basically said just do what you like now with the rubbish instructions so by the time these games are played it will be a free for all.

A second surge is inevitable. Summer is here and it's time to party it seems in half the populations minds.

You could watch the game on TV or stand outside a ground looking at concrete walls.
All they have to do is make the areas around the ground wifi and phone deadspots.

Why would people congregate outside the grounds?

A) you can't get in to watch anyway
B) there is a pandemic going on

Surely even Spurs fans aren't that stupid?

Wouldn’t be surprised if tight m-fisted Levy was the source of the COVID outbreak. Didn’t want to play against United without Kane and Son, knowing full well defeat wouldn’t pretty much end any CL hope they had.

If there is a pandemic going on, why are they then even playing football?

Because the infection rate is low. The mortality rTe is lower. And people are bored of being cooped up inside.

Shouldn't be too hard to play behind closed doors, players will have been tested, TV personnel etc should have no trouble distancing in a huge stadium..

And also because the message from this so-called government has been confusing, misleading, ambiguous and all other areas of the economy (yes football is part of the economy) are being encouraged to return to work ASAP.
Don’t forget that it’s not just the clubs, especially lower league clubs, that need a return to playing, there are hundreds of thousands of business and sole traders who depend on football for their income.

All sets of fans will do it. Why? Because of the self-centred arrogant entitled attitude prevalent in this country.

A cracking fixture list. I can well imagine the boss going live, very live in the press, tv, radio etc., asking, pleading for Reds not to travel to opposition home games or congregating outside Anfield on match days.

The atmosphere at our games is fantastic, the singing, the shouting, praises throughout each game. Well, that’s not going to happen, it simply can’t happen. Each and every fan, no matter how committed they are to our team will be doing no one any favours. Standing outside a ground, lets say in the pouring rain, no shelter, wind howling, batteries run out on the radio, pure torture. And for what? Where’s the benefit?

The FA have declared that they are working on full tv coverage of each PL match, and hope they succeed. While most radio commentary is very good indeed, it doesn’t beat actually seeing the game instead, at home, feet up, beers at hand.

Watching our team win the PL for the first time in 30 years.
