How do you define World Class

And which PL players are world class in your opinion?

My definition of World Class is simply that there's a threshold of quality in my mind and if a player is above that threshold in terms of how good I think he is, then I consider him world class. It's like if you play fifa and all the players have an overall rating, you could say any player rated 88 or above is World class. Obviously in real life there are no overall ratings, so it's all subjective, but that's the kind of measurement I use.

In the PL, I think the following are World Class:

Ederson, Van Dijk, Kante, De Bruyne, D. Silva, Pogba(on his day), Salah, Sterling, Aguero, Aubameyang

Mane, Bruno Fernandes, Son and Kane are ones I'm unsure about whether I'd say are world class or not.

What do you guys think?

Barcelona were and are a better team than Liverpool. This isn’t (or it shouldn’t be) up for debate

Were a couple of years ago, they aren't now
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes they are. I think Van Dijk and Trent are the only players who’d get in the Barcelona team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But that's you doing this thing again where you compare individual players in the team and not the team as a whole. Whilst I disagree VVD and TAA are the only players that wont get in the team, I'd have the whole back five for a start, it's not about individual players, it's about the team.

because he doesn't entertain you in the way you expect, he isn't deemed as world class and flatters to deceive your own idea of how you think he should play?

Precisely.

For me, to be world class, a player has to be successful in La Liga, Premier League, Bundesliga and Seria A, and win the World Cup, Champions League, Copa Libertadores, European Championships, Copa America, AFCON, the Gold Cup and the 100m Olympic gold.

I'd say a player who can produce some of the highest quality for their respective position consistently at the top level.

The only one's I disagree with in the OP are Pogba (as we've established), Kane I think should be by this point and Alisson.
