Solutions??

I read the interview Henderson gave to BBC yesterday, talking about how lifting the league title without fans would be strange. As it stands LFC will not have a parade when they win it, but for me this is a wider problem than just Liverpool. If governments want to stop mass gatherings in the event of title wins, then they need to come up with a compromise. This isn't a 'cancel the title' article, please bear with me. All across Europe, particularly the UCL you've got a problem. Look at the teams most likely to win the European Cup:

Napoli or Barca
Atletico Madrid
Lyon or Juve
Man City*
PSG*
Bayern Munich*

If ANY of the above teams win the UCL, you can't honestly tell me that their respective fans will not take to the streets in their hundreds of thousands to celebrate? Can you imagine if Napoli won it? Naples would be swamped with people partying for months, just look at 1990.

I've not even needed to mention that the same will happens when Leeds get promoted.

For me there should be a government compromise whereby a parade is approved to go ahead in each league or competition, on the basis that fans of their teams do not go out in the immediate aftermath to celebrate. If not then things could quickly get out of hand all across Europe at different times.

* in my opinion those respective teams will eliminate their current opponents and progress to the next UCL knockout round

Looking at the rate that things are slowing down then I would say that by the end of the season, if the current trend continues, we will be back to similar figures that we were before they shut the pubs if not better.

If there's no parade then honestly Klopp and the team should go door-to-door of every house in the city and give the fans an opportunity to kiss the trophy.

Only viable solution.

Good point OP. For everyone's safety I really hope Man City win the CL so we only get a few dozen people mixing outside during the celebrations.

Disinfecting it between every house of course

just have the parade on a beach n take the bus down the beach. Apparently mass gatherings are fine on beaches.

Could just have it on display at Barnard Castle and invite fans across the country to come and see it, apparently that's ok too

The solution would be for all of you to celebrate the title in the town centre where you live. Should mean the celebrations are safely spread out and socially distanced all over the country then.

If City did win the CL (which is very possible I think) I wonder if they'd be allowed to compete in the Super Cup next season and be a UEFA's representative in the World Club Cup?

As for celebrations I'm sure fans would be sensible about all of this.
