It seems that the current proposal is that 6 games might still be played at neutral venues, with 4 of these involving liverpool.
3 of these games will be away games against City, everton, newcastle. The other will be the one in which we will win the title (if it isn't one of the previous).
Early reports from Germany suggest that home advantage is not as important behind closed doors since the crowd cannot sway the ref. Will this have any affect on the rest of our season?

There was street parties during VE day in towns/cities during the pandemic. Some people have not stopped being stupid.

it singles out one club but there are 3 clubs out of 6 who will be celebrating staying up. potentially at least one on the final day. This makes it a nonsense.
they know LFc won't complain but they wouldn't dare suggest to brighton, west ham or watford they had go to neutral venue as they know they would be sued.
If it was a 5 point gap would joe anderson push this line? It would be a huge issue if the gap was not...so... MASSIVE.
My feeling is the mayor has let his personal feelings interfere and his being a bitter little so and so about it.
It is idiotic to have anfield not used and pubs round the city open. lets see by the time the games roll round. I bet the pubs will be open.

I think it’ll bring attention the club don’t need, or deserve of fans do go out. Win the league, any public celebrations on hold until the time is right. Then go mental

Yeah I was thinking that any of the matches where any of the bottom six could mathematically ensure they stay up would need to be in neutral venues too.

It'd be CRAZY. one club is singled out as the filth of the earth who will infect the country and the teams at the bottom. no problem. go party.
nobody can deny the scenes after the CL win. Fine, no problem. But this i a different scenario.
I am willing to bet pubs will be open prior to our 2nd league win.

So is anyone going to have home advantage against Liverpool?

we should refuse. it breaks the sporting integrity of the remainder of the league. either everyone plays at a neutral venue or no-one does.
it's not right to single out a single club for disadvantageous treatment like this. if they insist on it, we should receive an additional 6 points as compensation..

I am not a fan of this at all. All games should be played home and away. You talk integrity of the league and this is the one thing that sticks in the throat a bit.

What about the logistics of actually televising the games though? Surely it would make sense to use a handful of grounds to reduce the travel of the broadcasters.
You could do a 1230 ko, 3pm and a late at 3 grounds around the country and you’ve virtually boxed off a round of fixtures. Obviously no one would be allowed to play at their own ground.
