OP, are you minded to come back and defend or slightly revise your views in the light of some of the arguments and factual challenges that have been made?

One thing I'm glad of is that digital technology arrived in time for this crisis. I bought my mum a Chromebook and (albeit with a number of tense remote IT support sessions on the phone with her) that has enabled her to have regular face to face contact with family members.

I'm still hoping Jim Lahey comes back to this thread to address the substantive arguments and factual points made against his original statements.

The comments on this thread have been uplifting. Massive s to all of you with personal Cancer stories.

Glad to hear so many examples of people still getting the treatment they deserve. I guess there are some people out there who are to scared to go to hospital during the virus. Understandable but maybe not in their long term health interest 😓

Thanks Dazza. I think we're doing as well as can be expected, and I know that there are hundreds of thousands of people going through the same thing across the country.

I'm very sorry to hear that, goadocwatson. Everyone feels grief in their own way and the people we lose die in all sorts of different circumstances, but on a basic level, I think when we lose someone we love, we are all facing the same thing. You have my sympathy.
