It’s honestly shocking and painful to see what is happening in the US right now.
George Floyd should not have died. There was no reason for him to die. Like so many before him, he is a victim of power hungry and systematic racist policemen who are literally treading on the rights of the black American population.
It took minutes for the police to show up to call from a shop owner of a man using a counterfeit note. Just one phone call. Yet It took days, despite video evidence, to arrest and charge a man responsible for the death of another human being.
Trump meanwhile is trigger happy on Twitter! A social platform, not a governing office, inciting hatred and riling people, calling protesters lowlife, sc*m, effectively doubling down and not understanding the reasons why so many American people are so angry right now.
The police are arresting cnn reporters. The police are attacking civilians. And it’s alleged that the police are themselves instructing it’s officers to smash up buildings, undercover, in order to justify its attacks on the civilians that it vows to protect and serve.
All against the backdrop of the coronavirus, which has panicked so many, which has killed so many, which has economically destroyed so many lives.
Is America imploding? Why the hell did the death of George Floyd, and so many black Americans before him, happen?

The danger of having non football threads on this site is you find out more about people than just their footballing opinion and realise you never want to converse with them again about any topic whatsoever!

So, how many people voted the Obnoxious orange in last time ? at a guess I would say around 70 million ! think about that !............
and predictions are that he will get roughly the same in the November elections.
That means that their are at least that many 'kin lunatics in the good old US of A...........

Smartest move here would be to start making this about lower class oppression given it isn't always just black people that get treated badly by the cops in the US. That way it would begin to unify folks. As things stand people get really upset and angry seeing the video like the other day but then these riots begin and a lot of support diminishes.
