The scenes from America are absolutely shocking. I remember this racist keech from the 60s and 70s and it is appalling that it is all happening again.

I fully appreciate your point but I find that for every 10 racist attacks or victimisation of minorities there will be one you can find the other way.
The big difference for me is that nobody cares about them until enough happens to BAME and it becomes news then the "yeah but"'s comes out. Yeah but what about an Albanian guy who did a bad thing years ago that I didn't care about until I seen it on social media and it suited my rhetoric.
Now I am 100% in agreement with you that all punishments should be equal and strong. However, I cannpt stand to see anything like that Albanian thing get mixed up in a black rights matter. For every Albanian guy there is an Ian Huntly and that is a different matter all together which we share equal thoughts on.
No murder is acceptable by any reason but until all black lives mean something then the all live matter rhetoric is simply just a white privilege phrase
You've seen enough in your lifetime to know what exclusion and victimisation of a certain race can do to a country

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I hear you and i will clarify!
Black lives matter and from 1619 slavery bringing Africans to work for white people, up to the cops shootings recently, racism has been part of our history, as the uk were slave traders too!
BLM want reparations, so wil you pay up?
BLM say the NHS is racist and let bame covid patients die.
blm only talk of black victims globally of police brutality, so if a black or white cop killsa white person, who cares?
Some black power racists hate whites.....way more than vice versa, today, so that is a conversation we need.
There is some bandwagon using the Floyd murder to accuse all whites and cops of murder and guilt, which is dangerous and racist.
That does not take away from white racism or the concerns of black folk!
Risking covid19 with BLM protests is dangerous too and as the 4 cops are charged, and condemned, what are BLM seeking now?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Permanent change.

Cal Sign!
You referred to exclusion of a race in my lifetime?
I assume you mean Catholics here?
Suffice to say i do not regard my wife and family as another race and yes, there was sectarian discrimination.
It works both ways, as Unionists prods went from 18% to 2% in Eire, but catholic nationalist numbers and power grew in Ulster!
Prods ruled Ulster badly, while church and irish nationalism did badly down south!
The ra ruined mixed civil rights protests, and made it a green v orange war, with the help of Paisley and uvf!
Cliche, but good and bad on both sides here, mate.
