Chilwell Runours

So, currently the rumours are that Chelsea will up their interest in Chilwell, but may turn attentions elsewhere due to the price tag of £85m!

Saying that, hypothetically would you swap Chilwell for Tierney and £30m?

I would

I keep hearing people in the game talk about Chilwell as if he’s Roberto Calrlos, but I’m either blind or totally missing something but I just don’t see it. I don’t see him becoming world class. Yes I think he can do a job in a top team where defending is less of a requirement, but I also think he’s replaceable.

Am I missing something?

Ajer swap for Soyuncu looks on the cards as well if we come out of that in a lot of profit it also may be a decent deal. I hear a lot of very good things about Ajer - the main one being he’s got more potential than VVD at the same point in his career.

Be interesting to see how the summer unfolds.

Tierney will be really good given an injury fee run. Don’t think he’s played more than 2 games in a row for arsenal.

Chillwell is decent, not that good though.

Personally think a fully fit Tierney is superior to Chilwell. Absolute flyer of a left back.

Well, good to see other clubs fans are seeing the same as us.

Does everyone in football know something ya fans do not?

Let’s see if the runours are to be believed....

Yeah for sure. I’d swap shaw for him right now, would be a great signing for us. That said if Leicester and arsenal swapped I think Leicester would be getting the better deal...as long as he could stay fit.

Doesn't Tierney's injury issues date back to his time at Celtic? Even on talent, I'd rather keep players who aren't always injured than injured.

Arsenal are second only to Manchester United when it comes to the number of injuries over the party few seasons. If he's not he'll be a better player. But we all have seen numerous players who are young and talented who's career nosedive due to constant injuries.

A lot of attacking teams use their FBs as Wingers, Liverpool being a good example, so being weak in the defensive area isn't as major and the player could improve that aspect of his game. It's too early to write off Chilwell off. Unless a big fee comes in (say 50m), best to keep him for now.

I don't blame Chilwell for being attracted by a "big" club, but I don't think he would get that many more games for Chelsea than Drinky did.

You seems to be suggesting Chilwell can attack? Have you seen his attempts at crossing a football?

Chilwell is so overrated it’s unreal. I don’t know what people are in him and I would gladly take £40m in cash right now if it were offered. No other players needed to exchange, let’s just take the money
