Again, what does this offer for player development that the loan system doesn't already offer?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It doesn’t seem to offer much beyond Rangers and Celtic getting greater exposure for developing players
The finances will obviously be welcome
But is it funding or bribing ?
From a purely selfish Rangers l/Celtic view it’s good but all it will do is increase the gap between the 2 big Glasgow clubs and the rest

You are bumping your guns, Ivan but not read the proposal!

Other teams are free to do the same but have to start in Highland or Lowland. If DU or others have the finances to do so then batter in.

It is bribery but who is at bigger fault - the givers or the takers?

Don't think it prevents regular loans.

Oh, I think that’s a question for Pointy to answer.

Ivan is just blinkered to his dislike of colt teams in the petrol wafer cup

He has no interest in the greater good despite his team stealing Hearts place in the top tier

Quite a lot. Setter teams for a start and getting used to playing settled formations that benefit the club.

Sakes.

If it's not limited to Celtic and rangers then what happens if all 12 premiership teams want to start up a B team? How big will the fourth tier be?

We already have a good system that allows talented kids to get important game time. It's called the loan system and it should be used more thoughtfully by clubs.

they would need to pay a bit of money upfront to the league and commit to buying 200 tickets for every game. i genuinely cant see many wanting to do it. i can see plenty taking the halfway option

as i said the proposal allows for a further option more than the loan system but less than b team, Allows clubs to have an agreement to share 6 players and coaching staff. Lower league teams would benefit from that.

Seems like a good idea to me but lets be honest, What do I know

We're also getting sidetracked from the real motivation behind this. Maintaining a Scottish presence while both clubs pursue their European league ambitions.

What if they are?

Jeez, we moan about the game but seem bereft of ideas - partly because 2 teams support the whole of the game here / drag the remainder down * choose as you think appropriate.

We seem unable to take any steps far less ones that 'might' be beneficial - nobody knows.

FWIW I don't think it matters a jot in the scheme of things. Poor, minor clubs will remain poor, minor clubs. A few extra shekels changes nought.
