Season Tickets 2019/2020

Angus Kinnear writes:

“ Supporters can still get their week fix of epeolatry as my programme notes will return to their natural home and will be delivered on the morning of matches to all Season Ticket Holders who select to convert their Season Ticket refunds into a bundle of benefits which will include; live streams of games, retail credits and the chance to have your likeness in a seat at the stadium for the remaining fixtures."

Have you season ticket holders received more details?

What do you think about this?

Just been chatting to my mate about this and he reckons they will pull a fast one by saying only converters retain their season ticket going forwards.

Dont understand what you mean by this. Converters?

Read the OP. Talks of converting season ticket to a package. My mate is saying the club will pull a fast one on anyone not accepting the package by striking you off future seasons season ticket

I’d like to think not but he’s got me worried.
It’s the one thing that puts them in control

But ive paid for mine and my sons for next season.

How can they suddenly say you lost your seat?

And surely if this is what they will do they have to say if you dont convert then you lose your seats.

Rumours, rumours, rumours.

There be rumours everywhere.

Who knows what is true and what is not.

Let's see - say you have a season ticket at £500 for 23 matches - that equates to c£22 per match

For 5 remaining matches, you are owed £110, according to those stats

But the argument from the club could be that:

- the average cost of delivering a match is £27 per person so the benefit received per matchday ticket is £27
- season ticket holders receive that value of benefit but, because they are willing to pay up front, they get that value at a lower cost
- but they have used up £27*18 matches so far - that's £486
- so the refund due to you is £14 (£500 - £486)

I plucked the numbers out of thin air - am sure someone could tell me what the actual figures are based on such business logic, and possibly it could be split by Stand

I have no idea what the clubs will do - it seems Sunderland have made their choice already and determined that they can get away with offering an "equivalent" benefit rather than refunding

Cash back option is good, right?

Should have sweetened the other package with Kappa merchandise that has already been discounted and will not be in much demand soon!
