He's recently had ankle surgery which is his current absence

I'd stay well clear due to injuries... Bayern don't tend to sell good players without there being a catch

My thoughts exactly. I’m sure we are discussion with a number of clubs regarding players.

With reports from de Telegraaf another reliable source saying we are interested in Van de Beek it does look like we want a midfielder this summer.

Would we really be going in for a striker given we've just extended ighalo's deal?

He’s a midfielder.

No thanks, He’s injury-prone.

For that price it could end up being a master stroke. He’s only 25 so has time to get over his injury problems. Also played 30+ league games a season for the majority of time at Lyon.

Something tells me though if Bayern are willing to sell cheap they don’t see his injury problems going away.

We do seem set on bringing in a box to box/attacking midfielder who offers clever forward movement, incisive passing and a goal threat judging by who we're being linked with and Tolisso arguably is another player who falls into that category although he has played in a more defensive role as well however defending isn't his biggest strength.

It is a shame he's as prone to injury as he is because he is a good player. His long range passing and ability to switch play out to the wings using either foot would be valuable traits to have in our midfield.

If you can keep him fit, €35 million would be a bit of a bargain.

Tielemans would’ve been a great buy before Leicester got him at that price, many of us said it at the time too.
