So finally after 100 days with no football, the season gets back underway.
For the first of their remaining 9 fixtures Wolves travel to the London Stadium to take on West Ham, a soulless place to play football at the best of times, one can only imagine the ambience without any fans present.

The game will be played behind closed doors but that will not be the only change from the norm. For the remainder of the season there will be a playing squad increase to 20 and each side able to make 5 substitutions instead of 3 although there will be only three opportunities for each side to make changes throughout the match in order to minimise disruption to the game.

To take a squad of 20, Nuno will be leaving one player out of the current senior squad which totals 21 with everyone being fully fit. I suspect that Oscar Burr will make way for new boy Leonardo Campana who will augment the attacking options along with Jimenez, Jota, Traore, Podence and Neto.
Midfielders Moutinho, Neves, Dendoncker, Gibbs-White and Jordao will be backed up by defenders Doherty, Castro-Otto, Vinagre, Kilman, Saiss, Boly and Coady with the ever reliable Patricio and Ruddy ready to step between the posts.

Wolves have one player – Morgan Gibbs-White who is coming back after injuries and has not played competitively for some months. West Ham have 3 players in a similar position. Ryan Fredricks, Andriy Yarmolenko and Jack Wiltshire will all be looking for a return to action after injuries.
Gibbs-White however has a further hurdle to overcome. After his ill conceived partying during the Covid-19 lock down, it remains to be seen if Nuno will include him in the squad or, like former offender, Ryan Bennett, send him out on loan, his Wolves’ career effectively ended. Hope yet then for Oscar Burr Rasmussen.

Wolves currently occupy 6th place in the league table having gained 9 points from their last 5 league games whilst simultaneously competing in the Europa League.
West Ham are in16th place having taken only 8 points from their last 11 games and just 4 points from the last 5. Above the drop zone by only a slender goal difference, David Moyes has a tough task ahead to keep The Hammers in the Premier League.

The game will be shown live on Sky Sports

Proper crowd noise would have featured a chorus of f*** VAR after the Blades goal wasn’t given

hahaha yes that's very true.

Nuno's presser - everybody fit and a full squad to choose from. Including MGW who has learnt his lesson and is available for selection.

Good to have Jonny back, cant even remember who we were playing when he picked up his injury but looked a nasty one and a rare upside of this situation is that he's not missed quite as many games as he might.

Noticed quite a few injuries in the warm up games, even the linesman in the Colchester game last night pulled up lame. Remember when I was about 20 playing a game for the first time in about 2 years thinking I'd just be able to run around as I always had. Every single muscle and tendon below my waist was wrecked and feet were torn to shreds. Had to go home from work the next day, I'd never been in so much pain.

Pity we don’t have a game against Norwich to come. They played like they have already given up the ghost tonight

Spurs 1 United 0 with 10 minutes to go All looking good for us and that muppet Dyer gives away a needless penalty

Think a draw suits us best to be honest. Fully expect Spurs to do well in the remaining games and probably finish ahead of us.

If Spurs had won tonight and we win tomorrow we would have gone 5th ahead of both Spurs and United. Now if we win we stay behind United in 6th.
Spurs were not the the better team in that game btw.

Spurs haven’t won any of their last six games. Mourinho hasn’t done a good job at any of his clubs for years now. Yesterday’s manager
