Kingsley Coman

Thought this was very much an article-worthy stat. At the tender age of 24, Kingsley Coman has won eight league titles in a row since making his professional debut.

2012/13 - PSG
2013/14 - PSG
2014/15 - Juventus
2015/16 - Bayern
2016/17 - Bayern
2017/18 - Bayern
2018/19 - Bayern
2019/20 - Bayern

Let's sign him up and keep that run going

Statistics are like mini skirts. They give you good ideas but hide the most important parts.

The guy has mostly been a fringe player who has happened to play at dominant clubs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he has played close to 2000 minutes this season, similar to Coutinho.. hardly fringe
----------------------------------------------------------------------

This season yes.

The previous seasons no.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
erm.. the last 3 including this one he has played over 1800 mins at least

Gnabry always looked better out of them when ive watched Bayern. How did Arsenal fk that one up?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We wanted him to sign a new deal, but he refused and chose to go to Bremen for £5m as he had one year left on his deal. You can argue we shouldn't have let him run it down, but he was a youth player who hadn't proven himself at the top level. I didn't want him to go, but it happens.

I think his spell at WBA damaged him a lot mentally, and if we're honest, I'm doubtful he would have blossomed into the player he is now had he stayed at Arsenal.

Moving on was the right decision for him.

So you agree that for the first 5 seasons of his trophy haul he was a bit part player?

Thanks

What is that 20 matches a season in teams that play CL & domestic cup comps?

that is worth an article and just goes to show how unremarkable ryan giggs was globally.

yeah if it was just based on games straight through.

i think our opinion differs on what a fringe player is.

for me a fringe player is a guy who may get a few minutes here and there, like the liverpool lads who often play in the cup games.. not a guy who makes an appearance nearly every game.

thats a squad player

I'll change my initial statement to squad player then

Agree with this. Seen so many players at Arsenal with promise not be consistent enough and not get consistent minutes to become the top player they could have been. Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain most notable as well.

Wasn't suited to WBA because Pulis doesn't like players that aren't built to play belt ball.
