People will question the legitimacy and stuff and realistically it will depend who wins whether or not people care all that much. Another Barca/Madrid win and people won't ever bring it up but if Atletico/Man City/PSG/Napoli/Lyon win people will say it doesn't count.

Anyway it sounds really cool for a neutral so I'm looking forward to it.

You would think PSG and Lyon are at a huge disadvantage now or maybe the freshness will work in their favour who knows.

Really hope Napoli win it. It would be good for an "outsider" to win.

Hopefully we make top 4 and we can just go and enjoy it without any real pressure.

It’s actually going to be quite cool seeing the Fa Cup, CL & EL in a World Cup like format.

The FA Cup won’t be. That’ll be played while the prem season finishes.

I think the winners will have an asterisk next to it

I wonder how they're going to treat the 2nd legs that are still outstanding - will the away goals rule still stand for instance? Bit harsh on teams with a home leg to come, who have to play BCD, but are still penalised heavily if the opposition score.

Bit farcical if you went out on away goals in front of no fans.

All the asterisk stuff will go out the window eventually tbh. Lots of competitions have changed format over the years. Some World Cups didn’t even have a knock-out stage - they were decided purely in a group format, which seems unthinkable now but history doesn’t remember. There were some Euros that only had 4 teams participate.

To win it in this unique way will actually be historic imo.

I thought PSG would win it all season but it seems unlikely now - they just won’t be ‘game ready’.

I like the idea and I think it could be a good solution to congested fixture schedule. I'd quite like to see going forward the groupd stages played as normal, last 16 as normal and then QF/SF/F played in a mini tournament at the end of the season
