Mourinho in his latest press conference hinted at "powerful clubs" with many players on the bench have asked for rule change to enable 5 substitution, thus holding league to make the change in order to facilitate the re-start of the season.
Here's an extract of Mourinho's quote: "Mourinho also gave his thoughts on the rule change that means managers will be able to make five substitutions from a bench containing nine players in the Premier League's remaining nine matches, starting with Spurs' game against Manchester United on Friday evening.
"I think it's good for the teams with better benches, with strong squads with lots of good options on the bench, and I can confirm that the idea came from powerful clubs, and that confirms my theory," he said, "but you don't need to be very clever to understand that.
"When I was asked, I was not in favour and not against, so I just adapt to the way it is."
He added: "It was not our idea, it was not our request. We just decided to let it go and to let the majority decide, or not the majority, because I don't think it was even vote of the organisations to make the decision. That's it. We'll adapt to it."
Who do you think asked for this? My gut feeling is that United is one of them and Chelsea the other.

Yeah, you had the CBeeBies. TCP was one, Mr Chelsea another. Nick the Greek, Obers, Bubbles, Saint and a few others also. Only Nick really stood the test of time.
Then there was Say My Name who disappeared then came back to update his profile with:
"A short time ago I headed off to work for the day being thankful it was Friday and the weekend was coming.
5 hours later I was in the Emergency Room being told my wife had had a massive brain bleed and would never wake up.
2 days later she passed and the only small crumb of comfort I have is that she would not have known it was happening or have felt any pain.
When something like that happens you take stock of your life and I can't believe how juvenile and pointless I was on this forum.
