need to carry on like this though, been playing well recently. aim is to get down to teens this year. first round with the new golf balls too.

42 points, you’ll get there easily. You should only really be shooting your handicap one in every four or five rounds.

nah it depends on the course.

the course im a member at is a par 69 and very short most par 4s are drive-able. we only get cut if we get 40+points in a comp really and it would depend on the lowest gross par score on how much you were cut by

What’s the SSS on your course? Does your stableford not go off that?

Golf is a game I’d love to back into at some stage. Played off 15 in my teens but then lost interest when I wasn’t improving.

Still play once or twice a year.

Similar to me, I played a lot when I was a kid (my cousin went pro for a bit). I then stopped for a while, and then only one or two games a year. Then started playing regularly again a couple of years ago.

If you got to a decent standard as a teen, I think you’ll find if you did go back regularly to it, you’d get lower than 15. The key thing is course management, which is much easier to do when you’re both a bit older and also playing regularly enough not to attempt the Hollywood shot too often!
