Palace got snuffed.

0 - Crystal Palace failed to record a single touch in the opposition box against Liverpool, the first side to do so in a Premier League match since Opta have full data for this statistic (2008-09). Distancing.

The difference in performance from last Wednesday and tonight defies belief. Our team was unplayable, the transformation there for one and all to see.

So, tomorrow night, nothing less than a win will do for City. I’ve tried to watch other teams during the lockdown, but it just hasn’t worked for me, never will.

Tomorrow will be an exception.

They are very reliant on Zaha being fit and on form. They can get results against similar teams or below regardless but anyone better, they struggle.

I think you’ll be more emotionally invested in it that Guardiola will. It doesn’t matter if we win tomorrow or not, it’s long been over. For us, it’s about the Newcastle game and the Madrid game and I imagine he’ll be trying a few things out in pl games for the latter one in particular.

Very well deserved. Personally I’d have rather they’d waited to restart the season. I get why they couldn’t but doesn’t feel right to me that the teams fighting relegation don’t have the same home advantage as they would have done or that you guys can’t be all at Anfield. I know there wasn’t really any other option and you’ll be over the moon anyway so it isn’t that important, hopefully for you the celebrations as a collective can come soon anyway.

Didn't Guardiola say he was resting players for Newcastle?

Along those lines yes, and Chelsea clearly have a lot to play for.

Harsh on Palace, better teams then them have been blown away by Liverpool when theyre on it like that, City included. Tonight, we were just all over them from the first to the last and all the goals were brilliant.

I didnt expect us to be like that after Wednesday and Palace were actually in form? won last 4?

for me I don't think its a huge change from everton. I think its a better balance. fabinho was just as good v everton for example.

I am seeing that unlike Germany where conditions are good the epl have created a terrible disadvantage for any travelling team.

everton away for us is easy but we were stuck in portacabins, palace had to drive up on the day of a game for hours then back and this could contribute to injuries.

we also had 3 injuries so out team shape v everton fell apart.

everton could get out of their own half for 60mins v us. palace couldn't for 90mins.

the only difference is palace didnt sit 11 men behind the ball as competently as everton.

There was a massive difference, Salah and Robertson. We got more men in the box and the pressing/hunger was far better.

If we'd have scored early vs Everton, they'd have had to come out and play, they sat a lot deeper than Palace and they were at home... We need that Matip header from the set piece to go in, no fans actually helped Everton at home as there was no pressure for them to actually try and go for the win rather than hope to nick one luckily on the counter.
