Bellerin + Pepe

Bellerin is also not that good defensively.

I think Bellerin is finished at this level, hope he proves me wrong but looks like the injury has done him.

A lot of fans are criticising Bellerin for not overlapping but it is the way arteta wants to play.

Again today, Tierney was playing as a CB and didn't once bomb forward

But before he had Saka going forward from LB while the RB stayed back.

Surely if Tierney is staying back that means it should be Bellerin overlapping?

I am not sure but it's clearly not Bellerin decision to bomb too forward

Indeed a real concern. Even before Bellerin's injury I said he needed competition and I had hopes that AMN could make it there.

Hope AMN return into our team no matter the position.

He’s got a great shot from the edge of the box if you allow him in on his left foot, but that’s it. Frankly so far for the money I think he has been a disaster. The same people saying he will “come good” are also still saying that about little Theo in his thirties 🙄

Maybe he just doesn't have the physical qualities to get up and down the wing like he used to. Hes not as agile as he used to be.

Bellerin is a pointless choice if Arteta wants the RB to sit back and defend. AMN works really well with Pepe and can defend but if he doesn't want to be at RB, it won't work long term. I think AFC owes a debt to AMN and it's time to pay it. He was promised repeatedly this RB thing was temporary. Asking him to stay there still with Bellerin back and Soares brought in, is just damned rude and Arteta is out of order there. Instead of fulfilling the club's self made obligations, he has "highlighted" AMN as a troublemaker and lazy etc. Lazy players don't spend 3 years filling in for someone else. They do what Ozil does.

Seems Arteta is a fool invested in Ozil so I fear we'll lose at least both AMN and Gwen this summer. Both players can ooze quality at their best. To even be in a situation where BOTH could be lost this window, pretty much to simply to again ingratiate and pander to Ozil and his agent. Clearly shows just how bad a selection, Arteta was/is for the Arsenal job. Sadly looking forward to watching AMN evolve under Pep. Because his link to Arteta makes that a done deal. Had his eye on the lad for some time now.
