Nonsense from commentators

Glenn Hoddle has just stated on BT sport that Wolves are the best team he’s seen in the PL that play with a back 3 in England that he can remember.

Think about it for a second.

Nothing more annoying than these pundits who actually know very little about the game.

It would be a good start if they could just learn to pronounce players names correctly.

Firmino NOT Firminho.

Fabinho NOT Fabino.

These are well paid professional commentators and should know better.

Yes cos Glenn Hoddle of Spurs and England, best player of his generation, Manager of England and Chelsea and Spurs and now TV pundit across all medias.... knows nothing about the game of football.

Unlike Process.

I’m not claiming to be an expert but just because he’s achieved that it doesn’t mean he knows more about the modern game than all fans.

That's Klopp's fault for buying someone called Fabinho when he already had someone called Firmino. Of course people are going to get confused.

Yes it does.

The modern game. (FFS)

When did the game of football become modern. As opposed to old fashioned? When did Hoddle stop understanding it and you continued too?

You could write what you know about it on the back of a ciggie packet. He could write a book. Or two.

So why did he say that a team who are 5th in the league are the best team he’s seen in the PL with a back 3 when another team won the league at a canter with that system?

He’s achieved loads in the game. Doesn’t mean he has a great knowledge of teams.

To be fair even Klopp would acknowledge we are better than them. We have just been unlucky.

He also kept peddling this myth that Wolves are a great team to watch. They are defensively solid, but pretty much just bore you to death for 60 minutes before bringing a couple of pacy wingers on to run at tired defences. Pretty damn effective to be fair though.

Bit harsh on them imo, neves jimenez moutinho neto etc some good players that are a joy to watch. Also Coady can play too watching them spread diagonals in their 3 at the back system can be entertaining too. Theyre not afraid to sit back compact n organised but when theyre losing n go for it they caused us and city problems when trailing.

Wolves are a really negative side. They play to win games from 1 or 2 chances. Football is a strange game, we already have enough shots on target this season to most likely finish ahead of Wolves. We are 56 shots and 53 on target more than Wolves having played a game less.

Amazing Arsenal managed 120 shots on target but scored 43 goals and allowed 160 on target but conceded 41 goals.

Spurs had 137 on target but scored 50 goals and allowed 155 on target conceding 41.

Man Utd had 178 on target but scored 48 goals and allowed 106 on target conceding 31 goals.

Wolves had 125 on target but scored 45 goals and allowed 111 on target conceding 34 goals.

Wolves, surprisingly, only managed two efforts on goal on Saturday, but the Belgium midfielder made it count with their second when he struck low past Orjan Nyland after an excursion into the area.
...........
I like how they say that when they had 2 shots on target in each of there last 2 wins.
