should absolutely work in Spurs favour for next season. Just nine Prem games, it will be like a pre season, players should be absolutely at peak fitness at the end of this period. A couple of weeks break, and players should then get off to a flyer. No domestic cup ties to worry about, and the 120 minute games they may entail, no jetting around Europe on European games. Spurs are so perfectly placed. Compared to some of the other teams, who may be playing half a dozen games more than Spurs before next season starts, and will in all probability be out on their knees, come the season start.
I was absolutely against this season restarting, but as a training session, it is just about perfect for Spurs, gives players like Kane and Son game time to get up to speed, without absolutely killing them. Can you imagine how the players at say City are going to feel, with a possible 18 games to play to end their season, twice what Spurs have, all congested into a couple of months.
Spurs should be up and flying from the off come next season. And will be a big, big player now that Jose is gradually starting to remould his team. Defence once again now looks set in stone. Tick. Midfield is now being rebuilt around Lo Celso. Tick. Kane and Son should be back to their absolute best. Tick. Spine of the team now looking strong again.
Cannot wait now for the fixtures to come out, and Spurs to set the pace for next season. Excitement is mounting now, after months of doom and gloom surrounding the club, the good times should be back next season. Domestic Trophy and a strong Prem Challenge should be the target.
