Given the number of goals from outside the box he's scored in Portugal and Italy, even some of the goals he's scored inside the box and with either foot, I'd disagree.

That’s fair enough. I’m only going by what I’ve seen at United so far.

Bruno definitely gave the ball away far too often yesterday. He need to reign in the constant desire to make something happen virtually every time he gets the ball and pick his moments a little better. Part of that will be a bit of rust after a few months off, and part of that will be in transition between Portugal and England - you give the ball away as much at PL level. The shooting I don't mind too much provided it's not a ridiculous decision to do so.

If he can begin to strike a better balance between keeping things simple and doing the clever stuff, he can be a world class player. In fairness, he was still the one who made some of our best moments yesterday and to accommodate a player who will give the ball away a lot probably requires *not* having two players behind him who are a bit hectic and sloppy themselves in Fred & McTominay.

Bit over dramatic this post.

Bruno wasn’t at his best yesterday, but I don’t recall any slating towards him. There was the odd moan from me and some others in regards to some of his poor efforts. But that was it.

After my stream went down yesterday I ended up just following the match thread for 15 mins of so, and 90% of what was written during that period seemed to be along the lines of:

“JUST SHOOT FFS. Why will none of our players just facking shoot.”

That sounds about right Rosso

Someone on this thread said they’d rather see Bruno trying things and making mistakes then watching players playing risk free and just boring keep ball.

Couldn’t agree more, particularly against a team who are keeping 10 men behind the ball.

Yep. We have got enough players that tend to play safe. We need someone to try those instinctive/first time touches and passes that unlock opposition defences.
