I May Have Been Wrong

about Jose Mourinho , I've been watching highlights since he was appointed and am begining to see changes.

First off the back four , no doubt whilst Toby And Verts have been great players they are finished in the top flight .

Mourinho prefers a leader to be at the back and imo I can see the captaincy being passed onto Ben Davies I've banged on for years how good a player this lad is and it just looks recently I've been proved correct after reading and listening to Alistair Gold and what Steve Bergwijn has been saying his a leader and what shocked me was that last season he created more chances than any other defender in the league , not bad for a lad that apparently does not do enough.

Sanchez and Dier are begining to look solid and Aurier is beginning to find his feet still prone to the odd brain fluff but looking better.

The midfield still imo is our weakest area , Lo Celos is head and shoulders above any other player we have and Sissoko is solid doing a holding role but is not imo being used to his strength.
Can you imagine if we can pair Gio /Ndombele with a solid defensive midfielder? ,both can create and can score so should be interesting to see if Jose can address this.

The front three should consist of , Bergwijn , Son and Lamela behind Kane , Lamela may be marmite to most but his a pain in asssss for any player and runs his socks off tirelessly.

Bench should be ,Lucas ,seggs, Ndombele,Parrot the rest is up for grabs imo.

Still not Jose biggest fan but am beginning to see progress so keep it up, should be interesting to see the next report out of France if Tanguy does not get any game time in the next match.

Missed an "and" in there but I think you can understand my point regardless.

"Slide over the last decade, which includes CL, Prem, Europa cup wins plus countless other domestic trophies. Whereas our previous manager, who everybody is pining over won zilch in the same decade.

Sandy ...Pochettino came very close to the CL, with some luck admittedly, but you always need that!
THis thread misses the real problem with this club.
And you know what that is ....no not the managers, both Pochettino and Mourinho are good at their jobs.
Its that Goddamned owners, Lewis & Levy, ...or the business they run....ENIC.
Bought absolutely nowt one year, when the squad needed new blood.....
Faacked up the Dybala deal...now Juve's top striker...
got Bergwijn instead........el cheapo.....
Bought the wrong Fernandes on the cheap.....
then tried to fix their mistakes by going for an expensive misfit with attitude problems....Ndombele ...who we've seen playing how many times?

Now the Club needs 5 new top players (see the article posted on here).
What's ENIC going to do? ....

"- Pochettino drastically overachieved by even coming close to major trophies, delivering good football massive year-on-year progress on a comparative shoestring. Yes, it went wrong in the end, but that doesn't undo all the good he did beforehand. "

Any objective Spurs fan will agree with this.
Even came second to Leicester in the Prem one year.
Lost a CL final...possibly on an unfortunate first 2 minutes give away.
For the umteenth time ...ENIC is the problem!

That's the thing, I don't think he did overachieve. We have the same net spend as Liverpool. Yeah they sold Coutinho for crazy money, but Klopp hasn't had any more support from the board than Poch did. They just recruited better and have a better coach.

And there's no way we didn't offer him players in the summer where we didn't sign anyone. They just weren't who he wanted. 'Coming close to trophies' is nice but meaningless if you never actually win anything.

Well maybe we should have got him the players he wanted? Seems pretty basic. And yes he absolutely overachieved as we are seeing right now.

Exactly. Spurs fans seem to have this mentality that “coming close to winning trophy “ is regarded as success. Yes, we built a solid and excellent foundation under Poch, but at the end of the day a club is measured on success and we won f** all. Mourinho wins trophies everywhere he goes.

Yeah, and this is the really key point. If Spurs were like Real or United and they'd give him an open chequebook, then I'd absolutely expect Mourinho to win something at Spurs. He's not worked with a Spurs-level budget for 20 years though. It just seems like an awful match.
