Two games in a row, we've played AFTER Brentford and WBA, we've played after Fulham once, but only because we were playing them in one game. Tuesday night WOULD have seen all teams play at the same time of 19:45 or 20:00 for the live game.
This gives those teams the chance to close the gap on us to increase pressure.
So, why after the Covid 19 break, when the fixtures were REARRANGED, that on Tuesday night, we play at 19:45, yet Brentford play at fooking 6!!
Farcical FA/FL trying there best to make the league more exciting by trying to keep the chasing teams behind us, or they just don't want to see us leave.
I know we play Thursday and Sunday in the following week, I imagine the other 3 teams do aswell
Fixture farce

Playing after the chasers is an advantage.

Not when you're a side known for buckling under pressure. I'd much rather have them trying to match whatever we do.

I hear what you're saying - much of the staggering of games is so they can be televised of course which is a good thing with no fans allowed in the ground.
The only thing is, playing second hasn't really changed anything in the last two games. The first one we could have had an advantage, the second we could have had a disaster. We got neither. If we can handle the pressure of the 6-pointer against Fulham, we can handle them playing a few hours before us.
The Fulham result has given us a much-needed boost and an 8 point gap so I see us coasting to the finish line now (no doubt with the odd bump in the road along the way).
Ups and downs. MOT.

If Brentford win earlier game, gap is 5 points and pressure is on
If Leeds won the earlier game, gap would be 11 and Brentford would probably concede the race
BIG difference and a clear advantage for the earlier team

It happened last season with Sheff Utd. Always played before us and put us under pressure. Look how that turned out. Just want a level playing field, that's all.

Brentford would give up? They aren't even guaranteed a play-off place and can also catch WBA.
Think you are overthinking things.

You’re probably right about football league trying to make it exciting to be fair, but I really don’t think it’s going to make any difference this time!
I actually think Brentford at going to lose to reading.. but regardless they’ll end up 4th or 5th.. just watching forest now, in all the posts I’ve read of people fearing Brentford, forest and West Brom are never mentioned! Despite being better sides!

WBA play Wednesday on Wednesday night, the only team that can overtake us now!!!
