Ighalo

5 goals in 4 starts. Ok they’ve been all against lesser opposition but you still need to score against them.

Nobody is ridiculing his signing anymore and looks a smart piece of business.

It will interesting to see if he stays any longer than January.

I think what Ighalo has shown is that there's always room in the squad for a proper centre forward.

Ighalo at United is a nice story, and I'd certainly like to keep him as a squad option if possible, but if we were to play with a proper centre forward then we'd probably need better.

That’s fair enough. I’d certainly give Martial another season at first choice.

Tbh whenever I watch him play, I just think that the guy has no pace, flexibility, not great at holding the ball, and can't say that he is a clinical finisher. I think he is very lucky to be at United at this stage of his career and don't believe he will be the answer if Martial gets injured.

I agree he does look a bit cumbersome but his hold up play is decent and he has put away the majority of his chances.

If Martial is injured I reckon Greenwood starts in the league.

When I watch him play I think United are lucky to have him Adapts his game to the teams needs,, and always looks likely to nick a goal.

Need to see more of him in the premier league. He’s done well in the cups thus far, though.

He's done his job so far brilliantly. Coming in during the cup games and performing and giving us an option from the bench in the league.

Be interested to see how he'd perform in a full strength team. He's probably been a victim of playing in rotated teams but still performed really well.

Don't forget the Man City game, When he held the ball for us, When we under pressure.

Yep he was excellent in that cameo.

Just before the goal, The way he controlled the ball ( Can't remember who passed it to him ) was brilliant.

He’s a no nonsense traditional CF. Gives us a different dynamic than that of Martial. His key strength in hold up play is useful. A good addition to have when we play certain teams. Great that he doesn’t complain about being back up.

The need for a proper CF is brought to fore with Ighalo. His hold up play is good. Pity we look like we are splurging our entire transfer on Sancho

The striker market is pretty bare at the moment. That’s why we ended up with Ighalo in the first place.
