New Flu Strain

Has appeared in China. It emerged recently and is carried by pigs, but can infect humans, they say.
The researchers are concerned that it could mutate further so that it can spread easily from person to person, and trigger a global outbreak.

While it is not an immediate problem, they say, it has "all the hallmarks" of being highly adapted to infect humans and needs close monitoring.

Imagine being scared to eat fruit and veg.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who's scared to eat fruit and veg?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wait what? Where did I say that? I eat as much fruit and veg as anybody. I'll eat meat three or four times a week but have been giving serious consideration to cutting way back and even cutting out all together.

No idea where you got that from.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It was a joke mainly.

But you’re scared of eating more fruit and veg than you do then. That’s much better.

The other common hypocrisy is people who are outraged at the hunting of animals like rhino but then happily feast on a chicken or a pig.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are rhinos not endangered?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So you’d be fine with slaughtering rhinos if they weren’t endangered?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For sustenance yes.

There are loads not like you in that respect.

I'm not scared of eating fruit and veg ffs

I said the chemicals they put in them concern me. Doesn't mean I don't eat them.

Yes I'm just as concerned with the chemicals they put in vegetables as I am with what they do to meat, ie. antibiotics etc.

If you're not, that's fine. I have my opinion. You're entitled to yours but don't try to force yours on me, it isn't happening.

Anyway I'll stick to what I should have done when I said it the first time, I'll leave you to it. I'm sure you can find somebody else to argue with.

We weren’t talking about chemicals in meat.

You made a stupid comment and I called you out on it. Get over yourself and stop blaming everyone else.

Eating a dog is not the same as eating a chicken, or a cow, or a fish, or shrimp, etc etc.

For starters, how anyone would consider eating an animal which is loyal and practically family to any man...you'd have to question their morals.

But take that away, there isn't any nutritional value in eating dog.

This is based on our society.

Not everyone around the world would agree and to be honest, it just means you're a bit hypocritical.

I wouldn’t eat dog myself, don’t particularly like dogs all that much anyway way, but I still wouldn’t eat one. Though as far as I’m concerned dogs like pit bulls should be An open season on.

But I do agree it’s a bit hypocritical.
