"He's a different quality in the full-back area than what we have," Arteta said.
"He's a gifted, technical player and is probably the best we have in the final third to make the right decision and attack the box as well.“
Sounds great and all, but anyone else think Arteta needs to choose his words more carefully? He’s basically risking alienating our other fullbacks before Cedric has kicked a ball for us... making them sound a bit sh*t.
On the other hand, looking forward to seeing a bit of final third quality for a change!

He'll be at the very least a good back up RB. Just the contract we've given him is the issue

Some good quality in the final third I saw! Left-footed as well from a right back

Seems to tackle well based on that little cameo tonight. Put his foot in a fair few times for the amount of minutes he played and pressured the ball well.
Super happy when he scored, let's see what happens.

All of them are sheite. Other than still waiting to make up my mind on Tierney, I'd trade every fullback we have (not counting the developing Saka as a fullback). So does it really matter if they're "alienated"? I'm pretty sure anyway that Arteta was referring to Cedric's quality in the final 3rd. I used to contrast his attacking stats at Southampton with Bellerin's to show just how crap Bellerin was as a creative influence despite his pace.
