Derby County 1 - 1 Notts Forest

Pride Park
Derby
The light side of the A52

1230
4th July 2020

How nice of Boz the Builder to declare pubs open on the day of our match with that excuse from the dark side of the 52 in Nottinghamshire. A team living in the past, a team that as yet to be in the premier league this century and home to the most mind-numbingly boring, repetitive, yawn inducing missing links fans to be found on any away day.

This is the one they look forward to as they can come to a modern ground, grunt in wonder and then try to wreck the nice things laid on for them - like clean, functioning toilets. Maybe threaten a few opposition female fans as they announce their sexual prowess in a loud voice to make up for their shrivelled and embarrassing d!cks. Either that or save all year to come their one league game of the year because it's a badge of honour...…

Or not......Covid19 has put paid to any shenanigans on Pride Parkway, the Neptune, Merlin or Wetherspoons. Something will be missing and that empty, eerily quiet backdrop will unfortunately favour the Notts contingent far more so then Mighty Rams.

Both teams go into this harbouring thoughts of ambition to go further. Maybe the giddy heights attained and maintained by Notts Forest have meant that their achievement has been far greater. On the other hand Derby County had a late 'start' to the season and regarding current form would have been quietly confident. That is until events continue to affect us just as we seem to be perfecting our unusual late charge to the play-offs.

It does feel a bit flat watching on Rams TV - no pubs will be showing it but apparently it's all hands to the deck for the local constabulary as the Meadows, Chad, Hyson Green, Gedling, Allenton and Mackworth all get together in Derby for a knees-up

The Rams were solid in their last game against Preston with some attractive football on display. We missed and are going to miss Wisdom but I feel Evans did himself justice. Has Jozefzoon done enough yet to merit a start?

We have a difficult run in starting with this - thing is do want to 'do it' and play at an empty Wembley? Trouble is, its difficult to let go and more than anything, certainly not for this one.

Team news I'm sure will filter through.

And Strett, if you are serious then seriously you are absolutely clueless about football.

Strett’s one of those people who thinks he’s being “provocative”, but it’s a very thin line between that and being a nobend.

Yeah, OK Strett. Have another drink.

Got a case of Château Palmer that’s about ready. May try one.

As with Wayne Rooney, I fear its subtlety might be a little beyond your full comprehension.

Why do you have this stiffy for Rooney? He wobbled around today, did nothing and looked disinterested.
He can’t even grow a proper beard like our Lewis.

Yeah, OK.

Lolleys face at the end
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Priceless, its bad enough at the best of times, but that was magical.

-----------------------------------------

To be honest Lolley's face at the beginning isn't something you would expect to see on a teenager's wall. Not really a hunk, small wonder he is a City Ground favourite, their fans can identify with that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Unlike Rooney of course.
