Someone pointed out that we broke the new rules on Tuesday (along with Brentford I think) not by fielding more than three subs but by doing it on four rather than three occasions.
Evidently the rule is you can use five subs but these must be used in only three changes.
Hopefully the FL will take the points off both clubs
Not sure how we both messed up but I’m sure we won’t be the only ones.
Subs

According to the BBC Brentford made subs on four different occasions. Maybe their timing is wrong then?

Even if we did, it's on the ref to know the rules.

I believe from the reports I read that 2 subs were made at the same time. Maybe there was an injury stoppage causing the the 4th sub to appear to be a minute later?

The guy obviously wasn't aware of the HT allowance. To be fair it's not really mentioned in many places. I struggled to find the answer just now.
As for Brentford. That must be a BBC error.

No you didn't. You made one after 12 mins, 1 at half time (not included in 3 stoppages to make subs), then further subs at 61 and 90 minutes.

why isn't a half time sub counted?

Not a stoppage.

Obviously HT is a stoppage, but not a sub stoppage.
Basically you are not allowed to stop the game to make subs more than normal rules allow - so 3 times.

It is to stop managers making 5 strategically timed subs to break up an opponents momentum and time waste beyond what was allowed under normal game conditions.

That's an automatic 9 point deduction, isn't it?
