Jose Mourinho says

Tottenham finishing outside top six not the end of the world
Watch Tottenham vs Everton live on Sky Sports Premier League on Monday from 7.30pm; kick-off 8pm.

Jose Mourinho insists finishing outside the top six is not the end of the world and could provide a catalyst for positive change for Tottenham going forward.

Tottenham host 11th-placed Everton, live on Monday Night Football, in a fixture which has emerged as an unlikely six-pointer with the Toffees able to leapfrog Spurs with victory in north London.

Can't say I agree with him but can see his point of view.

Thoughts?

José should read this

It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory.”
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is outdated and BS quite frankly in today's world. Failure is failure. Oh hang on, I forgot how emotional many of you got from that glorious night in Amsterdam when we got to a final. Many of you acted like we won the thing getting all emotional when loser Poch started crying.

Never seen a top class manager cry in a semi final.

Rather than deflect, how about you attempt to refute my comments about Spurs?

He also said this

“ The quality in both the squad and the academy excites me. Working with these players is what has attracted me.”

And he’s already thrown most under the bus so I wouldn’t take what he says seriously
----------------------------------------------------------------------
LOL @ the sensationalism. He has not thrown anyone under a bus. Just telling is how it is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
telling it how it is, just like donald chump.

I remember when he was Inter manager he indirectly criticized Scolari saying, rough phrasing, "good managers don't need time". And when he came back to us in 2013 all he kept talking about was the following season being the one (the 'little horse' and all that), despite the fact we were in the title race pretty much all year.

I never forgot the significance of that because even though I was deep in the "Jose is God" mindset at the time it reflected a manager who'd clearly been humbled since leaving in 2007.

The depths to which his magnetism has fallen becomes more and more staggering to me. The same manager Inter had, we had in the mid-noughties, just doesn't exist anymore. I don't think it's necessarily wrong what he said, but he wouldn't have been caught dead saying it 10 years ago.

Lose to Everton - he has to go. Playing worse than under Poch. With the worst form for a decade! Too many players have reacted to him, rather more of the squad have become disillusioned! Must be frustrating as for Kane and Son the most prolific duo the Prem has had in recent times having to constantly run back to block channels due to his tactics!
