Rival watch tonight

Two more big games tonight in the race for top 4.

Crystal Palace vs Chelsea

Hard to see Chelsea not winning this one. Palace have very little to play for. Hodgson was talking up there chances of Europe a couple of weeks ago but they’ve slipped to 14th. Depends on Palace’s attitude as they can give anyone a game on their day but I don’t see this as anything other than 3 points for Chelsea.

Prediction: 0-2

Arsenal vs Leicester

Arsenal got a lot of stick after the Brighton game but have 4 in a row since including away to Wolves. They’ve actually been a decent run either side of lockdown.

Leicester picked up their first win since lockdown vs Palace. Didn’t see any of that game so can’t really comment on performance but a Leicester win and a Vardy double was well needed.

I fancy Arsenal at home though. They are in better form and as unlikely as it seems they may see this as a half chance to get back in the race. If results go their way tonight they could be 6 points from 3rd with 4 games left. With Leicester vs United & Chelsea vs Wolves the last day of the season who knows. It’s highly unlikely but stranger things have happened.

Prediction: 3-1

Post at palace and red card at arsenal have helped our rivals big time. So frustrating

Had hoped for better but at least we now know 5 wins will be enough.

1-1 is actually as good as a Leicester defeat since we cannot compete with them on GD

Decent result but Leicester looked dangerous - we’ll have our work cut out there on the final day, if we need a result.

....

Yes it will.

Will take it, hopefully more dropped points at Spurs and maybe home to Sheff Utd if we’re lucky.

Got to beat Villa first though. Southampton and Palace games look tough all of a sudden! Also wouldn’t put it past bloody Moyes and West Ham to turn up at OT!

Saints and Palace are pretty much safe in mid table. Villa and Leicester will be our toughest games I'd say. If we beat Villa it should make the West Ham game a bit easier. Another big game coming up on Thursday then! Bring it on.

WH will be safe by then. No excuses if we can’t beat Villa, Saints and Palace.

Most of our dropped points against those sides.

Arsenal should have won that really. But it doesn’t matter too much, if we do our job we’ll finish above Leicester and Chelsea. Both sides look pretty ordinary right now.

It was before signing Bruno.

We could still drop points though, hopefully our rivals do the same.
