Wolves

Pretty much out of the race for 4th.

Same again Saturday please Sheffield United.

Blades have shown their quality and great work ethic. They also have a tight defence and are good on set plays...on the contrary - set pieces defending could really hurt Chelsea

My only concern is that the Blades only scored 35 goals in 34 games. So if they do score they will score a single goal but must keep their defence very tight...Chelsea should have Kante & Kovačić back

I hope for a 1-1 draw

I missed this from yesterday; Phil Nev's son signs for Utd 🙂

Was already at the club a couple of years.

I wouldn’t get too overexcited about him yet: he’s looking more Jose Mourinho Jr than Erling Braut Haaland.

🙁

Well as least we have Hannibal devouring the opposition to look forward to.

Don't 9le will let them settle. Last season was because of attitude, fatigue and disruptive personalities. Everything coming out of Ole's mouth seems to point to him ginning for top 3 and both cups. All three may not happen but I doubt he will let it be for lack of trying.

Wolves are a good team lacking versatility in their squad. If they add 3 players in the right positions to allow them to deviate from 352, they could kick on next season.

Unfortunately for them, it seems Chelsea and ourselves are looking to push hard to close the gap with the top 2.

Looking over their shoulder now. Burnley, Spurs, Arsenal and Sheffield United are close behind.

We need to put Villa away tomorrow. We should find out whether City are banned before we kick off with Southampton on Monday.

We should be pushing for third place anyway. But knowing 5th will be a CL spot takes a lot of pressure off, and would allow us to focus a little bit more on the FA Cup tie with Chelsea.

If we win tomorrow the top 5 is all but decided. Obviously the order still to play for but it might not matter of course.

We have a pretty hectic schedule next week, so depending on the outcome of the appeal on Monday it would be good to be able to rest a few against Palace before the cup game. I dunno though - something tells me City will get it overturned.

That soon? Thought the city decision would drag on into the late summer.

Chelsea have two days extra rest as well. So it’d be nice if we can rotate a bit against Palace.

If nothing else, it means we have a whole new verse of “Gary Neville is a red” to sing from our armchairs.
