You get Games like this ( well Halves ), the important issue is how we respond.

It's up to them to stand up and be counted, especially the Experienced players.

I'm actually more confident we'll give Sheff Utd a game now, they have to turn up.

Or of course we'll just fade away with a whimper before a Summer clearout.

The last sentence of your post indicates that you’re starting to get it. That’s exactly what will happen

I don’t think it’s really a bad attitude problem.

It’s out and out fear.

I think it’d be difficult for Rodgers to blame himself for the sub/change because that would also imply he was blaming a player (Praet). I guess there’s not an awful lot he can say, but I’d have preferred to have seen some kind of simmering emotion from him. I didn’t see anything that the players would be able to feed off during the week. It was more like watching Holloway shrugging his shoulders and going “oh well, you live and you learn”.

I agree. It’s a bottle job.

Let's be clear on one thing; we didn't lose the second half 4-0 because Rodgers brought on Praet for Iheanacho. It might have contributed but it wasn't a 4 goal bad decision. We lost the second half because we made stupid mistakes, showed poor decision making and lacked basic professionalism, attitude and desire.

But does this not come from the manager who
Thinks his players are good enough to defend 1-0 leads
For 35 minutes?

I agree with that entirely, but the sub is where the game started to change. It was such a senseless decision and threw the game Bournemouth’s way. That’s not to excuse what happened but Rodgers has been utterly woeful for 4 months now - you can’t pretend otherwise.

I agree that the substitution helped to give Bournemouth a foothold in the match but it's not the reason Kasper made a terrible decision for the first goal, why Soyuncu backed off and then went crazy for the second or why our defence went completely missing for the third and fourth.

Rodgers tactical and substitution decisions are certainly up for debate and I'd agree that he has made mistakes in the second half of the season. But the lack of professionalism from some players concern me more.

Who is suggesting that Rodgers substitute decision cost us 4 goals? No one. But the second half of the season has been littered with tactical mistake after tactics mistake after tactical mistake from Rodgers. The kind of mistakes other managers have got absolutely savages for (including Pearson)

In fact this second of the season is very similar to the Pearson season in the championship where we went from automatic contenders to scraping the playoffs.

Rodgers is ultimately responsible for coaching these players, getting the tactical decisions more right than wrong and instilling the right mentality into them. Of course the players take responsibility, but if things don’t get better - there’s only one person that will pay with his job

I seem to remember SAF always went with the two goal lead philosophy..... Hope I spelt that correct or is it correctly?

Problem seems with this Manager is he has too much confidence in this lack lusture squad.

We should of been 0-3 up at half time and sitters were missed.

Do not ever sit on a 1-0..... maybe a mid table team but not a team fighting for their life.

Our manager is a T and theirs was underrated..
