To All Pepe Critics

Just wondering if any of you slating the bloke ever stopped for one minute to think, about the fact that aside from...

1, Being on his 3rd manager already,

2, The squad being rebuilt around him,

3, Three months off playing,

He has just had/is having, to cope with a pregnant spouse/newborm baby during the middle of a lethal virus outbreak? It's a wonder he can focus on football at all at the moment. He'll be petrified every minute of the day. Especially if it's his first baby.

If ever there was an Arsenal player who deserved to be cut some slack due to circumstances, it's Nicolas Pepe. Has a Grand Slam of reasons not to be lighting up the football pitch this season. So stop ya hating and slating, let this disaster of a season end and just wait to see how he goes in 20/21. Because he has actually shown enough talent to be due that much from you.

please don't go overboard supporting another winger OP. you are a curse

Overboard? I said cut him some slack until next season fgs. That wouldn't be overboard if the season had been smooth and the team he came into decent.

Giving him a fair go/chance, isn't going overboard. Writing him off now is.

You can try and deflect the blame on Bellerin etc but the reality is that Pepe needs to work on his final ball. At the moment the guy has flattered to deceive
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bellerin has been poor since coming back and he's the main player Pepe will link with. One player new and the other still trying to find his own form doesn't bode well for any partnership in terms of flowing football. The fact it flows just fine with AMN tells us that it's far more about Bellerin not having his form back than Pepe being poor at it.

The only justified complaint you have is the final ball due to him being so left footed. But nobody's going to care how one footed he is, if next season he's taking way more set pieces and smashing in a bundle of them are they? It'll be "Ah no, gotta keep that sweet left foot at Arsenal." You lot hate if you want but do remember just how ridiculous that stance looks after supporting the return of a certain individual at the start of the season. Yes you got burned hard for your support there. But that's no reason to be so unforgiving to Pepe.

He needs to be more aggressive

Definitely has the talent, but it seems he has to be in the mood

Look the talent is definitely there but as stated, he isn't aggressive enough and does not seem that interested most of the time.

I am still hoping he may come good next season but for the price tag, I want to see more

The OP will next be saying he scraped his knee as a child and that is having an effect on his performance too 😎

Nobody is “hating” on him, he’s just not currently worth his place in the team and we were extremely foolish to pay £72m for him. If Joe Blow was offered a huge sum to play for Arsenal I wouldn’t “hate” Joe Blow for taking the offer, I would blame our useless scouts and stupid upper management for again offering a huge contract to a mediocre player.
We need to stop playing players who are delivering p**s poor performances hoping they will ‘come good’, this is Arsenal, not a local park team...

Gervinho looked a better player.

My issue is that if he does come good next season as any sensible person would be willing to give him the chance to do, before deciding whether or not he was worth the price tag. Then all you lot will be kissing his ass talking about what a player he is.Trying to downplay the fact that you were slating him now

Same crap every window with you lot. Wanna sell everybody and buy a new team. He's one of the last players we should be thinking about getting rid of or writing off but no ya all ON IT like some feckin AFTV comment thread. All the while calling yourself a supporter.

THAT IS NOT SUPPORT!

For the record, had Wenger had your approach neither Bergkamp nor Henry ever would have become legends at Arsenal. Because both were underwhelming to say the least, in thier first seasons. Trying to rebuild a team, petulant impatience over the time it takes NEW SIGNINGS to settle in, is the LAST fecking thing the club needs. Assume we'll be bringing in a fair few over the next 2-3 windows. We won't get far at all if the fans are going to be utter s to anyone who doesn't do well straight away. Something which should actually be expected anyway.

Yes, I remember the same BS about Walcott, he was going to 'come good' for over a DECADE - and he too was difficult to give up on because he had glimmers (e.g. as a Fabregas tool) amongst the unremitting s**t performances and injuries that was his Arsenal career. You don't win the big stuff with that level of inconsistency in your side.

We cannot have a player continually being s**t in the first team. Stick him out on loan if necessary and see if he will 'come good' - I would love to eat humble pie and see him finally deliver because I am an Arsenal supporter. I don't think it will happen but at least he won't be a burden on the side whilst he tries.

I wasnt deflecting the blame on Bellerin, I was putting some of the blame on Arteta's tactics.
