Ruthless

Before I start I'd like to say that I'm very much an Ole supporter and am in general happy with what he's trying to do at the club.

However, I'm thinking of what the club may do if we fail to get CL football again for next season. Will they be ruthless or will they trust the 'process'.

This season, as well as last, we've put ourselves in a position to get CL football on the home straight. Would faltering again for the second season in a row be fatal for Ole's long term chances at the club?

I think our performances since Bruno's arrived have been much better than the performances we saw even when winning games last season when he was hired but is there a danger that this is all that Ole has got?

For the record I think, whatever happens, Ole deserves another season with the next step in the club's development being able to rotate successfully and have a far greater consistency of performance and results. I don't think we're far away from being a really good side and a lot of that is down to how Ole has changed things. However, I don't think I'm being too unfair in still having my doubts as to whether he is the man to get us to the very top again. I'd be delighted to see him banish those doubts though and am more than happy to give him the time to improve the team as well as improve himself as a manager.

I do think we will make top 4 (even if it'll be a nervous last day at Leicester) but, if we don't, does anybody here see the club being ruthless and getting rid of the manager?

Is your Magaluf analogy about Maguire?

Mellor will be moving on I’d think.

He's being retained for next season.

Wonder if there’s any chance of smelling returning? Had a good season by all accounts and I think it’s fair to say we’d take him over Lindelof and bailly after this season?

------------------------------------------

It's unfortunate but I think we can forget about Smalling ever playing for United again.

I’ve got a lot of respect for Smalling. He has every right to commit seppuku after being told the club will spend £80m on Harry Maguire and use Victor Lindelof as his first choice partner.

It’s about the magnificent pairing of Mag-elof.

It’s the new, improved, immensely more expensive Rojones.

Beyond the physicality, work ethic and touch to an extent, I don’t really see it with him, tbf.

Well played.

I’m really not that fussed about them now. I’d rather see us invest in attack. I don’t seen us winning the league whatever we do next season, so we need to get better attacking players so we can keep scoring goals.

We’ve shown we can do that with what we already have. So it makes sense to make more investment in that area.

Liverpool and City did that first before they fixed the defence and became amazing. We should do the same.

We should've invested properly further up the pitch last summer.

Funnily enough, offensively-speaking, I think the defence is probably the area that could be strengthened the most.

But we’re in need of strength in depth all over the park.

It is, but it’s also the area we need the least depth. It’s also a bit of a crap market. Especially given we are become Brexit FC.

Sancho and Grealish are actually really good footballers. They should be playing for Manchester United.
