We look tired especially in midfield. Bruno and Pogba haven’t been good the last 2 games and need a breather imo.
Greenwood has also looked off it and Rashford and Martial are the only 2 who have been sharp.
While I’d love to go full strength vs Chelsea I don’t think it would be clever. I’d try go with a solid team try stay in the game for the first hour and then unleash the big boys off the bench.
I’d go something like:
Romero
Bailly Maguire TFM
Dalot McT Fred Williams
Mata
Ighalo Rashford
I’d keep Maguire in there as I don’t really think he’s the type to need a rest. Could easily go with Martial over Rashford. Also maybe Dan James in one of the wing back positions if Williams isn’t fit. Pereira/Lingard over Mata if you wanted more legs but I’d go with Mata as there is plenty of legs in the rest of that team.
Thoughts?
Team for Chelsea

I think we'll also switch to a back three with Fred coming into the mix.

Chelsea won't be at full strength.

Come to think of it Lingard may come into the equation too seeing as how he came on today.

It is a shame we're talking of resting players in the FA Cup as it's a competition I've grown up watching and one I love to win. I suppose, in the long term, CL qualification is more important to the club. All things being equal though I'd rather win a cup any day.

I totally agree.... From a team that has lost a record 4 times in FA Cup finals. I just want to win the FA Cup.....

We could both field a weakened side & just let them scrap it out for the mick final...
Frankly i'd rather we got CL

I won't be judging if we got out of FA cup. Rest the first team for the last two PL games. If Chelsea fields the strong team then miss out CL, their fans will be screaming as well
