"Dark" on netflix... Amazing show, so many layers. I started it again as soon as I watched the finale.

(if anyone does watch it, watch in german with subtitles, not the unwatchable netflix dubbed version).

Brilliant show but definitely one where you need to binge to keep up with it.

I watched season 3 a couple of months after season 2 and was completely lost.

I'm planning to watch it again.

It's ming bogglingly brilliant

Sorry Don, just one more thing,... i have to know what those favourite Columbo Episodes are..

I love most of the Episodes. The one i haven't seen for ages is the one with the food critic. Poisoned the wine from the Fish.
I guess the ones i've liked a lot is the Robert Culp Episodes. And the Jack Cassidy Eps, 'Great Santini'!!
But top quality actors across the board, i'll never tire watching Columbo.

ha, don't get me started...i think most of my favourites are because of the actor playing the killer, so cassidy and culp are great, as is anything with patrick mcgoohan. how to dial a murder is a bit silly, but nicol williamson is always watchable. i also really like patrick o'neal (blueprint for murder), john cassavetes (etude in black), and oskar werner (playback). and who wouldn't like johnny cash and a plateful of squirrel chili? also always loved the ending to candidate for crime, with the killer's wife and mistress in the room it's surprisingly moving.

the leonard nimoy one (a stitch in crime) is really interesting, the portrayal of the killer is predictably cold and unemotional, but he's a real b@stard, probably the least likable killer of the show, and one of the few episodes in which columbo gets genuinely angry.

though my favourite is one of those where the killer is sympathetic, and there is a genuine affinity between detective and killer, and that's any old port in a storm. i love donald pleasance, the way he rolls his words - "an exciting meal has been ruined by the presence of this liquid filth" - and i just love the way the two of them share a drink before he gets taken away.

yes, i have watched far too much columbo in my time.

Just started 24 (CTU) on Netflix again. I don't like cold coffee but this is definitely worth a second watch.

ha, yeah, he was the brother in law wasn't he? no idea who the actor was, but a lovely little cameo. altogether now "praise the looooord, i saw the light".

talking of cameos, i love how vito scotti, the undertaker from the godfather, keeps turning up, playing everything from a wine waiter to a wino (the episode in which columbo is also mistaken for a down and out!)

It really is, so many layers to it all. But also beautifully crafted, acted and well written.

There are some serious Dark geeks on reddit that have created all the family trees and stuff, mind blowing

- Yes, That guy is great, he's the same guy whose the Tailor in Candidate for Crime.
Those guys are real character actors, like the guy whose a Private Eye in one, (Most Crucial Game)but then an Ex-Con drunk, (Friend in Deed). Small roles, but also it's very cool to see those guys rotate as Columbo's colleagues to other characters.
