City-supporting kids - actually, football-loving kids in general - could do much worse for themselves than to model their game and attitude on this sublime footballer, just as he looked up as a kid to two of the silkiest footballers to grace La Liga in the 1990s, Michael Laudrup and Arguineguin's original magical #21, Juan Carlos Valeron. I dare say more than one will, and that his City legacy will live on.

It's only the media agenda against Ozil that makes people think like this.
Ozil had better stats (his assist and chances-created numbers were through the roof at times), and he's slightly bigger & faster than Silva. He was the best playmaker in football between 2009 and 2016.
Since Ozil 'lost his smile' though, he's fallen off the radar to be fair and Silva has been better.
