Harrison loan extended for another season

Graham Smyth reporting that Jack Harrison will still be a loanee next year, the option to buy for Β£8million will remain. Clever move to save a bit of money for other options.

Jack Harrison has been great this season, really pushed on after last season. His technical ability is fantastic, kills every ball dead with his first touch and runs fullbacks ragged at times. Crossing has been much better too, added a lot of assists and should be more if our finishing was better.

Felt bloody good putting Premier League as the competition for this article!

It’s smart and also suggests we are putting the money elsewhere.

Keeping the likes of Harrison and Meslier as youngsters who are improving under the Bielsa stewardship is pivotal.

Equally there is a need for new signings. A striker is a top priority (who ideally offers the all round game that Bamford does, but can finish)

There is a need for a playmaker is Pablo is going to be used more sparingly. The lad going down with Norwich Buendia could be an option but will cost

If we could fill those two voids, keep Meslier/Harrison and get White back then I would be delighted. Again, quality over quantity

Nothing wrong with supplementing a couple of young loans too. Brewster could be a bench option and Sessignon I always wondered what could make it as a left back and is struggling at Spurs

Think this is a great piece of business.

Harrison has improved massively this season, but stepping up to the prem is a different matter altogether.

If this means we have the option to sign permanently whilst also bringing other players in, fantastic.

Delays that purchase for a year though to free up more available funds to bring in new recruits. How much will the loan fee be? £1-2million?

Great news.

How long is Jack's contract with City, Wikipedia says it runs until the end of next season. He is only young and I know different rules apply but I wonder if he has also extended his deal at City so he cannot just leave on a free.

Cant wait until Harrison finely does sign for us!..

Been a great player and runs his heart out, amazing what a trainer can do with some players, but even more amazing when he can do it with a whole team!..

An exciting player. He has all the attributes you'd need for a Bielsa player. If he keeps listening and working on shooting/final ball etc he could be deadly.
