Spurs v City match thread

Good afternoon pop pickers,
Just had 2 of the female variety of para medics out
Concentrating on the questions was difficult as they both had a
Wicked dark sense of humour and worked as a team 🤣🤣
Never stood a chance 🤣

Another 6 pointer today sort of 🤷‍♂️

Not sure what to expect today and should be
A tougher game than the last one,

So off to find some links,,
Will be back later with the team selection,,

RE Rodgers and next season; much will depend on what we do in the pre-season. It's going to be a very important period, arguably the most important since we were promoted; a shorter pre-season than usual, a squad in need of strengthening in several areas, the possibility of losing players and a squad that will be on the floor mentally if we miss out having been in the box seat for so long. Add to that the fact we'll be moving into our new training ground which will take time to adapt to. It's going to be a big test for Rodgers at a time when he is being seriously questioned for the first time here.

My sense is that Rodgers has lost part of the fan base. Twitter and Foxestalk aren't always the best barometer for judging the mood but it's noticeable that a large section have turned on him. That doesn't perhaps mean so much in empty stadiums but it might if and when we return to having fans in the ground if some turn on him and the players next season. When the fans turn at this club it's usually very difficult to get them back. It's only part of the overall judgement but it's a significant part and Top will listen and be concerned if fans start to be openly critical.

Ultimately it will depend on how we start next season. Start well and the end to this season will be forgotten about relatively quickly. If we take our poor form into next year, things could get bumpy very quickly. If we're 15th after 10 games, the pressure will be on.

I like Rodgers and I'm a long way from calling for his head. But he does need to learn from this season and from some his mistakes in the second half of the season. I had always assumed that he would leave Leicester for a traditional top six side rather than be sacked. But now I do begin to feel that his position is a little vulnerable. For the first time though, I can envisage him being removed next season.

I think we probably need to put the brakes on the ‘sack another manager’ train.

I think we were around 12th(?) when Puel left. We finished 9th under Rodgers last year and are currently 4th.

We’ve been hit by a spat of injuries, Ndidi was out, Ricardo (our best player) and then pretty much our entire back 4 has been disrupted. Our star signing in Tielemans has been average at best, our best creative outlet in Maddison as been up and down and now injured. Even players coming in to cover have picked up injuries. In addition, We have tried to play a very young and inexperienced 11 on the whole.

Despite this, Vardy looks like he may get top PL goal scorer. We have bagged over 40 goals from other players, Kasper has consistently been top 3/4 with regard to clean sheets, hardly any team has scored more than us, hardly any team has conceded fewer (even if we take into account out recent brain farts), we have one of the best full backs in the division, a great CB pairing, top tackling CM, youth coming through and, on his day, one of the best creative midfielders in the division.

We are saying finishing 4th or 5th (our second highest finish in the PL and one of our highest finishes in history) is a bad season. If this is all a pretty poor end to the season - with the potential return we have from injuries, progression with our young players...that’s a pretty amazing ‘poor’ season for me.

Don’t get me wrong, there are things that need to be improved upon, but by not recognising the positives and providing the opportunity to show potential improvements - we are seriously moving towards Watford territory

Well, United's defending tonight should at least give us some hope for next week. Maguire has been terrible.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We sold him because he is $hit...... Do not share this with them. Also do not tell Chelsea about Drinkwater. Alas, when you go to Burnley on loan and then get rejected and sit on Villa’s bench. They may be on to us?Chillwell for 95 mill please.....

PS We sold Drinkwater for 35 mil and Kante for 30. How is Villa doing with him btw?

What really pi$$es fans off is stupid changes or formations. Then to be too stubborn to say, yay I f ud and and need to change.

Also do do change when we are flying and in control. IE Bournemouth? What a twa. T.

He also picked a team selection two games prior which on paper..... Halbert and Costello would of held a better line.

Not call for his head but please get it out you Harris and where a Royal blue tie or anything that ties you to us. Still waiting on the pics of his initials on anything LCFC.
