10th for a reason

Let's not allow the wins against City and pool mask over how Awful this team is.

In a one off, Arteta is able to set the team up in a certain way to defend in numbers and play on the break which has worked against the big teams.

However, today's game once again showed were we are as a team. We have seen today's performance many many times this season.

Just look at our shots on target from last season to this season. It's getting worse and worse. Creativity has died in this team. We have no pattern of play, 2 strikers that can't play together and a MF that isn't able to breakdown teams who defend in numbers.

Heavy heavy investment is required to just get us competing for top 4 again.

Any team that wants to beat us needs to just set up 2 banks of 4 and give us the ball. We have next to NO creativity at all in the middle or on the wings. It's so so hard to watch.

Since Emery took over, the football has just regressed. Very difficult to watch at times.

I don't think anyone is under any illusion what a task is facing Arteta but you could see none of them were at it. Its the classic case of one team fighting for something and the other pretty much having nothing to play for. Even more so given there is a cup final on the horizon.

Arteta must get his subs right though we looked better before he made changes and we were not very good to start with.

I don’t care if Villa needed it more that was absolutely pathetic from everyone tonight. To not create a chance against a team that concede goals for fun. Embarrassing performance, so much average in this squad.

Unless £200M is spent in the summer, we will be 9th or 10th again.

People can laugh at that figure but we need 2 midfielders, a left sided wide forward (Auba has to play through middle) and probably a defender.

These players have to be of top top quality
